About me

Hi, I’m Tyler

I’ll be one of the candidates appearing on your ballot this year for Scranton City Council. I have the experience and vision to move our City in the right direction. I currently work in economic development and have a Masters in Public Administration from East Stroudsburg University.

I am a lifelong resident of Northeast Pennsylvania. I grew up near Milford in Pike County. During my teenage years I learned the value of a dollar, hard work, and good customer service. At 15, I started my first job at the local butcher shop, working after school, on weekends, and over the summer.

After college, I served the region as a staffer for State Rep. Jack Rader from 2014 – 2019 (his district was the Tannersville / Mt. Pocono areas). In this capacity I worked directly with state agencies such as PennDOT, DCED, PENNVEST, etc. I’m not afraid to roll up my sleeves either. There were days where I would be in muck boots standing in a creek and looking under a bridge to see first hand just how bad it was. There were also days I’d be standing on the side of a road with PennDOT and the road crew talking about how we can slow traffic coming though town. Rep. Rader also served on the Local Government Committee in Harrisburg which really gave me insights on municipal issues around the Commonwealth.

Currently, I work in economic development. What does that mean? It means I work for a local nonprofit organization that supports businesses in the region with low interest loans, government contracting assistance, and export assistance. We also support bringing state and federal dollars into the region.

I’m married to my wife Maria. She works at Marywood University and we live in the Green Ridge section of Scranton. I’m proud to be from Northeast PA and I’m not going anywhere, win or lose.
